Cyprus is a Mediterranean island traditionally occupied by a mix of Turks and Greeks.
Most of the beaches on Cyprus are sandy, but there are a few rocky options as well if looking at the underwater wildlife is an important goal for the visitor.
There are a huge number of nature trails around Cyprus, and of course, a walk on the beach is readily accessible as well. The Akamas Peninsula, on the far northwestern coast of the island, is also a favorite for its variety of flora and its views over the sea.
